RV to Holly Beach, LA

Once again coming to you from Primeaux RV in beautiful Carencro, Louisiana.  I will be "Highlighting" special sites where your RV adventures can take you.  As always - Stay Safe and Have Fun!

Holly Beach – "The Cajun Riviera"
Located near the junction of LA Hwy's 82 and 27 is the small community of Holly Beach, LA. As secondary waypoints, it is located 10 miles west of the metropolitan city of Cameron or 12 miles east of Johnson Bayou.

At an elevation of just 7', this resiliant community has been devistated by several hurricanes in the past, most recently being "Rita" and "Ike".

Holly Beach is one of the few areas in Louisiana/Gulf of Mexico where you can find sandy beaches away from the crowds and enjoy your "shoreside" RV'ing experience while infusing a "few bucks" into an area that could use your help. Be prepared to be have fun fishing, swimming or simply walking in the sands of Gulf of Mexico, Holly Beach RV Park is @ 337-536-9824 . Seven miles West of Holly Beach is Constance Beach, a small RV Park with hook ups and a couple of cabins is located at this beach. The place is called "Redfish Haven" @ 337-569-2190

You can't help but feeling you are "back in time" while being but a few miles from the community of Cameron for any needed resupplies.

Relax – Enjoy your time in Nature by the Gulf of Mexico

PS The water is the prettiest when the south wind is gently blowing!

Cameron, LA - You will take a ferry over the Calcasieu River to get there from Holly Beach

Holly Beach before Hurricane Rita - Your patronage CAN help bring it back!

Waiting for THE upturn!

Sales stay slowwww as the government tries to figure out how to pick up the pace.  I wonder how much of the money spent to help "the worker" actually makes it to the point where it actually helps the worker?

We are getting ready for the 2010 Central Gulf Coast Boat, Sport & RV Show in Lake Charles, LA.  I am sure it will be a great show and lots of fun!

January 8, 9, 10
Friday - 3pm to 9pm

Outback 280RS

Today sure turned out to be a fantastic day to be RV-ing! The temperature is a beautiful 68 Degrees here is Carencro, LA. It is still suppose to turn cold Christmas Eve which is OK I guess. We set up an Outback 280RS this morning and I WAS IMPRESSED. For a smaller unit, it sits large, like the big boys do. Having the Toy Hauler floor plan and the King Bed Slide Out really makes for a sweet overall package.  Remember to think of PrimeauxRV for your Toy Hauler, Travel Trailer, Fifth Wheel Camper needs in South Central Louisiana.

2 New "Grand Junctions" Came in Today

We had 2 Grand Junction 340RL's delivered today. Even though the weather was bad, we couldn't wait to set the Slide Outs and check out the amenities. It is a beauty, I especially like the way the living area is situated with the TV above the fireplace at a great viewing angle. In addition, a desk area is positioned just to the left of the entertainment center, a very nice touch.

I like the king size (walk-a-round) bed, the large space available for washer/dryer, the beautiful cabinetry. The Cedar lined walk in closet and hidden living area lighting are an exceptional touch. I will be aggressive in selling these fantastic units.

Cold Day to RV

Looks like they delivered a couple of RV units today while I was in class. I saw a PUMA 30KDBSS with outside Kitchen sporting a Microwave, Refridgerator, Stove, Sink and plenty of Cabinets. I also looked inside a new Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8315BSS, front kitchen with a nice sitting area and a back bedroom.

It is a very cold 53 degrees in Carencro. Now I know most of you will laugh, but with the rain and wind, you feel the Chill to the Bone. I hope that everyone that had problems with the Blizzard is doing OK now. Having lived in Nebraska and Minnesota I know that once pipes freeze they are tough to normalize.

Newsletter

PrimeauxRV prints a Newsletter once a month. Each RV Specialtist is responsible for editing their own particular Newsletter. Mine will be entitled "Frank's Beach Bum Noesis", I plan on highlighting one or two RV Parks located in North America each month. My only criteria is that the RV Park must be adjacent to a body of water fit for recreation (Swimming, Diving, Skiing, etc.). The Newsletter will contain information such as RV Park locations, Types of Camping allowed, Available Hook-ups, Applicable Fees, Dates of Operation, Distances to "Resupply Location's", Nearby Recreational or Cultural Points of Interest, etc.

Anyone interested in sending such information to me may do so at frank@primeauxrv.com

I look forward to the release of my first Newsletter (anticipate the first week of January 2010). The first couple of Parks to be highlighted will be in South Louisiana, just because this is where we are at!
